We already saw the clip from Passengers where Jennifer Lawrence nearly drowns when the gravity lock fails while she’s swimming on a spaceship, and now Sony has released a clip of Jennifer Lawrence nearly dying again in a decompression accident. Jennifer Lawrence just can’t catch a break; maybe she can plug the air leak with one of her Oscars.
Sony also released a new TV spot and trailer for the sci fi romance co-starring Chris Pratt. The videos come with the tag lines “This Christmas, time is running out” and “This Christmas, nothing happens by accident”, which makes us think Sony is a little too familiar with the tone of our family gatherings this holiday season.
Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt are two passengers onboard a spaceship transporting them to a new life on another planet. The trip takes a deadly turn when their hibernation pods mysteriously wake them 90 years before they reach their destination. As Jim and Aurora try to unravel the mystery behind the malfunction, they begin to fall for each other, unable to deny their intense attraction… only to be threatened by the imminent collapse of the ship and the discovery of the truth behind why they woke up.
