When the worst project attached to your name is a pretty good sequel (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2) to a really good movie (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs), I’d say you’re doing A-okay. Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the director and/or writer of 21 Jump Street, The Lego Movie, and other movies that were way better than they had any right to be, will next work their uncanny magic on The Greatest American Hero. Then 23 Jump Street. Then Son of Zahn. Then an animated Spider-Man movie. Then The Flash (that was the original plan at least; more on this in a second). THEN *takes deep breath* a young Han Solo spin-off film according to the Hollywood Reporter.

[Chris] Miller and his partner Phil Lord…are tackling one of Star Wars anthology movies as their next directing project, sources tell the Hollywood Reporter.

The filmmaker team, who write, direct and produce, are stepping up to helm a movie that will focus on a young Han Solo, according to sources. The new project is not the same as the one that was to have been directed by Josh Trank. Trank parted ways with the project in May amid a cloud of issues stemming from his Fantastic Four shoot.

The Reporter notes that their directing a Star Wars movie means The Flash is “likely off the table,” due to the DC comic not being owned by Disney. But I don’t think anyone will mind that the guys who gave us the awesomeness that is The Lego Movie are swapping that project with a HAN SOLO MOVIE. Maybe they’ll finally have time for a new season of Clone High in 2047.
