“Save the Rebellion. Save the dream.” Disney has dropped the final trailer for Gareth Edwards’ Rogue One: A Star Wars Story during ABC’s Good Morning America this morning, and we also have a great poster — and an even greater fan edited version of the poster — to share with you as well. Gonna be a good morning, America. (I apologize for that joke. Sort of.)
Director Gareth Edwards revealed the new Rogue One poster and announced the release of this final trailer during this episode of The Star Wars Show on Wednesday. The new trailer is surprisingly swelling and hopeful for a gritty war movie, but we guess that’s what reshoots aimed at making it a four-quadrant adventure movie are good for.
Rogue One is set right before A New Hope and follows a sort of “Dirty Dozen in space” (Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Forest Whitaker, Riz Ahmed, Jiang Wen, Donnie Yen) as they try to steal the plans to the Death Star. Many Bothans died right after this poster was made:
And an obligatory, much improved poster for any jerk who complained about Rey:
Can't remember the writer who complained about another female protagonist but I made this for him pic.twitter.com/UwaMvKZArb
