It’s been a long 2016 so why keep up the charade? From what I can tell, the only people that don’t care for Star Wars are me and that guy from Queen’s “Bicycle Race.” And I suppose people that would still prefer segregated seating in the movie theater. Okay! Okay! I’ll get to the point. This new IMAX spot for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story looks so awesome that I’m tempted (and borderline excited) to see another one of these things. Ben Mendelsohn’s Director Orson Krennic is industrial strength villain as he gets downright lusty with the Death Star which unleashes some impressive chaos as a Death Star is wont to do. In a brisk 30 seconds, director Gareth Edwards makes a solid case that he can make the leap from iconic monsters to Star Wars and sucker dinguses like me into the fold at the same time.
Rogue One, a motion picture that’s gotten a smidge of a marketing nudge lately, hits theaters on December 16. We’re reasonably sure dinks worried about Mexicans in space or whatever won’t bring the franchise to its knees when it does come out. See you there.
