“Rebellions are built on hope”
Rather than spending the holidays bickering with your politically-divided family, why not take them to the movies to watch Rogue One: A Star Wars Story instead? For one thing, you can’t talk in a theater, so you don’t have to hear Uncle Jerry’s thoughts on the election— also, director Gareth Edwards’ spinoff movie (the first of many), which comes out Dec. 16, looks really good. Disney recently released the final trailer for Rogue One, but only for the United States. There’s a new international teaser with slightly different footage, including a longer shot of the Man In Black, Darth Vader. Watch it above.
Here’s the official synopsis:
In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is directed by Gareth Edwards and stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, with Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker.
You can begin arguing whether Jyn Erso is holding a kyber crystal now.
