Chris Pratt is quickly taking over the cinematic world. He’s already a part of several major franchises — the Jurassic Park series, Guardians of the Galaxy — he’s soon to start work on The Magnificent Seven remake with Denzel Washington and Antoine Fuqua, and now it’s being rumored that Pratt is possibly being courted by Disney to become the next Indiana Jones.
Disney acquired the rights to the series made popular by Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg with 1981’s Raiders of the Lost Ark and sources tell Deadline that Pratt is the heavy favorite to crack Dr. Jones’ whip. Until Disney makes an official statement, this is just a strong rumor for now. If you’ve seen Pratt in images from Jurassic World, it’s easy to imagine why Disney would want the rising megastar to lead the rehash of the blockbuster series as he embodies the rugged hero very well.
