At this moment, it’s nearly impossible to see anything in print or on screen that isn’t related to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Now British communication company O2 has given Star Wars fans a nice bit of a treat with their new commercial, which features R2-D2 and C-3PO (sporting a red arm) wandering a desert planet. Along their journey, they come across the newest Star Wars darling, BB-8, who is racing past. Needless to say, the interaction between these three droids is well worth the watch.
C-3PO asks BB-8, “So, tell us, what could be so important?” and BB-8 is quick to answer in his mechanical style.
The ad for O2 is a chance to win tickets to the UK premiere for The Force Awakens on O2 Priority. Alas, the interaction isn’t actual footage that you will see in the film (the whole sequence was created by O2 as a way of promoting the contest), but it stands to reason that at some point, we can expect these three mechanical screen titans to cross paths. As we wait for The Force Awakens to open worldwide, this brief teaser will be more than sufficient.
