Did You Notice These Cameos From Ten Famous Actors Secretly Hidden In Big Movies?

Usually when an actor makes a cameo in a movie, it’s obvious to viewers there’s a celebrity plunked down into the story, often distractingly so. But sometimes a cameo serves more like an inside joke for the cast and crew, and viewers may never know about the cameo at all. To that end, Screen Rant compiled ten celebrity cameos you may not have noticed, including:

  • Edward Norton in Kingdom Of Heaven
  • Tim Burton in Hoffa
  • Gene Hackman in Young Frankenstein
  • Famous musicians In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
  • Richard Branson in Casino Royale
  • Brad Pitt and Matt Damon in Confessions of a Dangerous Mind
  • Cameron Crowe and Cameron Diaz in Minority Report
  • Danny Glover in Maverick
  • Chris Martin in Shaun of the Dead
  • Daniel Craig in Star Wars: The Force Awakens

We wouldn’t call Gene Hackman or Danny Glover’s roles “secretly hidden” by any means, nor were Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, or Chris Martin’s cameos particularly subtle, but some of those appearances were suitably obscure. We did report on Daniel Craig’s cameo in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and here’s a recap of where you can find him, since the video didn’t explain that one:

In the scene where Rey (Daisy Ridley) has been captured by the First Order, she tries to use the Force for the first time to do a Jedi mind trick on a stormtrooper, telling him, “You will remove these restraints and leave this cell with the door open.” It’s Daniel Craig under the armor, and he replies, “I’ll tighten those restraints, scavenger scum.” Eventually her Jedi mind trick works, happily, or the movie would have gone much differently.
