After nearly ruining Christmas (and the world), Seth Rogen is back with a different holiday season comedy that won’t nearly lead to World War III. Probably?
In The Night Before, he plays — you guys won’t believe this — a Jew who reunites with his childhood best friends Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Anthony Mackie for one last night of Yuletide debauchery. The movie was written and directed by Jonathan Levine, who partnered with Rogen and JGL on 50/50, which remains one of their best movies. The “final ride” premise worked for Magic Mike XXL, and, judging by the promising trailer below, which includes cameos from Jillian Bell, Lizzy Caplan, and Mindy Kaling, it should work for The Night Before, too.
If nothing else, it has Joseph Gordon-Levitt (who sings “Wrecking Ball” with Miley Cyrus) wearing a Christmas sweater, which is actually what he was born in.
Here's the trailer for #TheNightBefore which was made by Jews, is about Christmas, and opens on Thanksgiving: https://t.co/HNN70fkINl
