It can’t be good for your self-esteem to be told “you are so creepy and scared the HELL out of me,” but things seemed to work out pretty well for Daveigh Chase, who played the creepy little girl from The Ring who scared the hell out of me. She was only 12 years old at the time (although her filmography already included voice acting roles in Spirited Away and Lilo & Stitch, where she performed the titular non-Stitch), and she’s since gone on to play Roman’s bride-to-be Rhonda in Big Love and Samantha Darko in the unnecessary S. Darko: A Donnie Darko Tale.
