Tyrese may have made it absolutely impossible for any father (or Santa Claus) to try to top the gift he’s giving his daughter for Christmas. The 36-year-old musician and one of the stars of the Fast and Furious franchise delivered the ultimate luxury to eight-year-old Shayla. At GQ’s Men of the Year gala, Tyrese was asked by Entertainment Tonight about the most over-the-top gift he received or gave. The actor responded by dropping this Santa-crushing bomb:
“Well, I just bought my daughter an island. Can’t say [where it is]. She knows all about it and the island is called Love Island. I’ll be putting it up on my Facebook soon.”
This is not the first time that Shayla has been the recipient of lavish gifts that her father has been able to provide for her. Tyrese also hinted that he is working on another special Christmas gift for his daughter, but he chose not to reveal what that gift is because his daughter watches a lot of television.
When asked about the responsibilities of being a father, Tyrese could not hide his excitement and joy by saying, “Life is good, man. Daddy duties are real, and I love it.” It’s probably fair to say that if Tyrese is able to secure an island for his daughter now, one can only imagine what he will give Shayla for her sweet sixteen.
