Congrats, Todd Phillips! War Dogs has already scored more laughs from its first two trailers than the Hangover sequels could wrangle in their full running time. The first official trailer arrived a few months back, and now we’re treated to another preview.
The latest War Dogs trailer keeps up the theme of laughs and gasps as Miles Teller and Jonah Hill portray real life arms dealers David Packouz and Efraim Diveroli, who landed a massive government contract to arm Afghan allies. What we’re presented with is decadence, danger, and Bradley Cooper playing a guy that isn’t Bono but looks an awful lot like Bono for some reason.
“This isn’t about being pro-war, this is about being pro-money,” offers Hill as AC/DC’s “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap” serves as the soundtrack for a lot of guns being fired or delivered. Not unlike Martin Scorcese’s The Wolf Of Wall Street, War Dogs appears to find fun in the sleaze as calamity hangs just above the heads of Hill and Teller. Let’s take a look at the latest poster for the film while we’re at it.

Superb. War Dogs will arrive in theaters on August 19. Here’s hoping Bradley Cooper actually is playing Bono.
