X-Men: Apocalypse director Bryan Singer has hinted at a huge scene for Quicksilver (Evan Peters), and Peters has said he has a “bigger and better” scene than his highly memorable one in X-Men: Days of Future Past. He’s also revealed that he was brought back for Apocalypse because his character is searching for his dad, and it shouldn’t be a spoiler at this point to mention his dad is Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and is being used as one of Apocalypse’s horsemen.
On Monday, Singer thanked Fox for buying a Super Bowl spot for the movie and revealed a little more about just how expansive this new Quicksilver sequence will be. “This scene with Evan Peters as Quicksilver took one and a half months for a less than three-minute sequence resulting in Evan working longer than any other actor on the film.”
One and a half months for one sequence! To put that in perspective, this slow motion scene…
… was filmed in the final two days of shooting Days of Future Past and was a late addition to the film. What on Earth were they filming in that hallway for a month and a half? We’ll have to wait until May 26 to find out, but I’m still hoping they explain why he looks like Jack White in an alternate dimension where everyone has sex with robots.
