What if the Dark Knight joined the Dark Side and Superman was a Jedi? That’s the conceit of the new mashup made by Zack Snyder himself. The Batman V Superman and Justice League director has been exchanging Batman and Star Wars references with Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams for over two years now. This has culminated in the mashup video above, given the suitably longass title Dark Side Knight Vs. SuperJedi: Dawn Of The Alliance and debuted by Snyder on the new social media app Vero.
“In anticipation of Rogue One, I wanted to share a little Star Wars fan film I made after J.J. released his Hunka Junk mash-up… long overdue.”
This mashup may be the last in a series of jokes between the two directors. It started in July of 2014 when Snyder posted a picture of Henry Cavill as a Sith:

Abrams replied with a picture of John Boyega as Batman:

Then Snyder photographed R2-D2 on the Batman V Superman set:

Abrams made C3PO the Dark Knight:

Snyder started arresting Stormtroopers:

It seemingly ended (until now) with the “Hunka Junk” video Snyder referenced, in which Abrams gave a first look at the Millennium Falcon, which had a small toy Batmobile (the “hunka junk”) clinging to its underside. These crossovers are like when we used to make our G.I. Joes make out with our Transformers (just me?), except these guys have the actual actors, crew, props, equipment, and stacks of cash.
