If anyone knows what it’s like to incur the wrath of 50 Cent, it’s Eminem. After signing the burgeoning rap juggernaut to his Shady Records imprint in 2003, the two have worked closely ever since — especially when it came to beef. If one got involved in a rap, the other was never far behind and between the two of them, they would relentlessly harass their enemies into submission like a championship tag team partnership — a tradition that continues to this day.
So when Eminem made a rare public appearance to honor 50 during the ceremony for the unveiling of 50 Cent’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, he made note of how much better it is to be on his partner’s good side than standing on the other side of the line.
Eminem says @50Cent is “one of the best friends I’ve ever known” and adds that it’s “much more fun to be his friend than it is to be his enemy” https://t.co/GqwPCL9ZKE pic.twitter.com/PWLDjTEVvi

“I’m here today because this is not only a business partner to me, it’s one of the best friends I’ve ever known in the world, and I would say that it’s much more fun to be his friend than it is to be his enemy,” Eminem said during his speech, to much laughter and applause from the audience. “Because this guy is f*cking relentless, and he won’t stop,” Em concluded.
There you have it, stay on 50’s good side. But you all knew that already, right? Watch the clip above.
Editor’s Note: A previous version of this post incorrectly mentioned that Em and 50 had beef. That has been corrected.
