Pop music beef is officially the new rap beef now that Pink has “dissed” Demi Lovato on social media. It all started when the opinionated “Stupid Girls” singer went on her private Instagram and shared her thoughts on the VMAs. What was supposed to be a private conversation among friends was leaked for the world to read about Pink’s disappointment in today’s artists and their trashy, uninspiring and soulless music.
I felt embarrassed and sad. And old. We’re getting old. But in all seriousness; I felt sad because music is suppose to inspire. It saved my life. This trash won’t save any kid’s life. In a world that is even scarier and with lives still worth saving, who will stand and have soul? Disenfranchised to say the least. Let down by my industry and peers. Beside Macklemore and Pharrell and Bieber (pre-sob fest) and The Weeknd, Tori Kelly was dope too. The rest was gross and embarrassing and hard for this aging star to believe.
The rest being Nicki Minaj/Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Twenty One Pilots/A$AP Rocky and Demi Lovato’s performances. And no one really cared until Demi’s fans got their feelings hurt and bumrushed Pink’s Twitter. Pink later blamed leaving Demi out on forgetting the Confident singer performed and said, while there is no feud between them, she stands by her statement.

Things are all good on Demi’s side, as well. On Friday morning, Demi tweeted out that she was excited for her fans to hear all the “inspirational” and “soulful” songs that are on her new album.
I'm excited for you all to hear the inspirational/honest/soulful songs on this album. #Lionheart #Father #StoneCold #Confident… Oct. 16!!

I'm learning so much every day by this new chapter in my life. I'm no longer the victim. I am the survivor.

Cool For The Summer may not "save kid's lives" or "inspire" but I'd say Skyscraper & Warrior have done a pretty good job of helping people

cope with mental illness. VMA's are sexy and fun. There's a time and place for everything.
