Anyone waiting for a punchline associated with Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg’s upcoming television show will just have to keep waiting. The new series is very real and it’s coming to VH1 very soon. November 7th, to be exact. On Monday, the first trailer for the show rolled out featuring what’s easily TV’s oddest couple shimmying and shaking together plus poppin’ a bottle of bubbly to celebrate what’s to come.
Titled Martha and Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party, the show will combine a mixture of things pop culture currently loves — food, celebrities, cocktails and entertainment. And probably more food, since everyone’s a self-proclaimed foodie these days. Snoop may be rail thin, but, with as much ganja as he consumes, he has to have all kinds of cures for the munchies, right?
Stewart and Snoop first came together while working on ABC’s 250,000 Pyramid and the friendship blossomed with Snoop appearing on her show before. Unfortunately, Stewart hasn’t returned the favor by guesting on Snoop’s GGN Network but they’re probably saving that for down the line. For now, it’s all about Pot Luck.
“My homegirl, Martha and I have a special bond that goes back,” Snoop said via press release. “We’re gonna be cooking, drinking and having a good time with our exclusive friends. Can’t wait for you to see how we roll together!”
See, there’s that word “roll” again. Expect a lot of fun and surprises from these two when the series airs in VH1.
