James would rather take a look at what Conor’s doing right, and you can’t deny that McGregor has a lock down on the mental game. Whether it’s tearing his opponents down or building himself up, the Irish mixed martial artist is one of the most confident men in sports. So, should we be all that surprised that other top athletes are choosing to be inspired by his fierceness?

And that’s not the only bit of McGregor inspiration out there. Tucked between pictures of six figure watches and eight figure sports cars, the fighter sprinkles inspirational words throughout his social-media posts.
And for all the posh pictures of McGregor acting like a pimp, there are just as many of him busting his ass at the gym, working hard for every victory. Unlike Ronda Rousey, Conor doesn’t do endless interviews and promotional appearances. He shows up for the press conference, creates a sensation, then disappears back to training. It’s one of the reasons so many think he may actually be able to pull off this two belt thing; hell, maybe even this three belt thing! Strive for greatness, indeed.
