I suppose that a “Glee” concert movie is less annoying than a fully scripted “Glee” feature film, but still… ugh. Avast, readers! Before ye trek on, beware: thar be unironic exclamation points and all-caps ahead:
20th Century Fox TV and film divisions have partnered to produce GLEE LIVE! 3D!, a feature film based on the Glee Live! In Concert! North American tour. The studio plans to release the film for a two-week engagement starting Aug. 12. Gleeks who were unable to get tickets will be able to catch the concert in 3D. [Deadline]
I’m getting tired of “Glee” fans reveling in their “Gleek” nickname. From here on out those people are Gleetards. Because it’s downright gleetarded to pay $15 for a 3-D movie of people singing. “Wow, it’s like the jazz hands are in the room with me!”
