Fantastic news, folks: According to NBC reps, Justin Timberlake, who is ALWAYS good on Saturday Night Live (and by “always,” I mean: Except for his first appearance and fourth appearance, but those second and third appearances were GOLD) is set to host the show for a fifth time on March 8th, the week after Kevin Hart hosts. Timberlake will also be the show’s musical guest, ahead of the March 19th release of his album, The 20/20 Experience.
Honestly, the best part about Timberlake hosting, besides his own arsenal of recurring sketches, is that SNL always brings in some great cameos. Jimmy Fallon is almost assured a spot for a return of “The Barry Gibb Talk Show,” and Andy Samberg may come back for a sequel to “Dick in a Box” and “Motherlover.” Maybe Jay-Z will pop by, too, to help him out on the musical performances. Plus, as the newest member of the 5-Timers’ club, either Alec Baldwin, Steve Martin, or Tom Hanks will probably pay him a visit during the monologue.
Obligatory “Omeletteville” reference goes here. Also, I don’t care what anyone says, this sketch with Beyonce is still one of my favorites.
