The most 90s thing possible is probably either the movie Encino Man or the song “Mmm Mmm Mmm” by the Crash Test Dummies. Both have the luxury of audio and/or video to drive home how accurately they represent the time period, however, which leaves an important question unanswered: How would you sum up the 90s in a single still image? I propose that the above screencap might do exactly that.
The evidence:
- It is from 90210, which is a very 90s show.
- It features Tori Spelling, who is a very 90s person, talking to Brian Austin Green, who is also a very 90s person.
- They are talking about Color Me Badd, which is a very 90s R&B group.
- They are both wearing extremely loud and busy sweaters, which is a very 90s fashion decision.
