The fall’s first two cancellations belong to NBC: today the network canceled “Free Agents,” which I enjoyed but never found an audience.
The show dropped sharply after its premiere four weeks ago and settled at a 3.3 million viewers and a 1.0 adults 18-49 rating. That marks the second new fall show to get the network axe (the first was NBC’s Playboy Club). [EW]
That’s too bad. I thought Hank Azaria was pretty good in it, and I love Kathryn Hahn, who tends to be terrific in everything she does.
So, is this the wrong time for me to point out that “Whitney” just got picked up for a full season? Yes? Very well then, let’s forget I said anything.
