It’s no secret that we’re big fans of Colbert’s “Better Know A District” segments on the Colbert Report. We’re especially fans of those segments when the member of Congress being interviewed doesn’t appear to be fully in on the joke, as I think was the case — at least at first — when Colbert sat down with Rep. Jim McDermott of Washington’s 7th district.
The 7th includes Seattle and Sir Mix-A-Lot is from Seattle, which of course led to Colbert asking, “Congressman, do you like big butts?” and “When a girl walk in with an itty-bitty waist and a round thing in your face do you get sprung?” The whole thing ended with Colbert and McDermott tossing a salmon around in the hallway outside his office, so yeah it’s definitely worth a watch, as is the “f*ck you” he gave to Putin last night that we posted earlier.
