We are down to the final stretch, Game of Thrones fans, and HBO was kind enough to throw one last morsel our way before the feast on Sunday night. On top of the excellent — yet expected — news of an official seventh season renewal, HBO released a boatload of images from the premiere. Everything looks characteristically grim, and the pieces that were left in the finale are very much in motion for a number of characters.
On top of coming face to face with a new Khal, we see Danaerys and the rest of the khalisar entering Vaes Dothrak. Dany’s path has never been an easy one, and returning to her former people could prove to be quite complex.
We also get a good look at Theon and Sansa on the run, as well as Ramsay mourning the death of Myranda. I guess the couple that hunts people together is stronger than previously assumed.
Things aren’t looking any better for one of the other last living Starks, as Arya is blind and still being taunted by the Waif.
Finally, after the murder of Myrcella, Doran Martell is forced to deal with the fallout in Dorne. As the boat carries Jaime and his dead daughter back to Cersei, you can bet the queen mother will have vengeance on her mind in a big way. At this point, her kill list is even longer than Arya’s.
