For someone who’s promoting a movie revolving around sex, I haven’t had to hear much about Jason Sudeikis’ sexual exploits. I guess if you have a child, there’s not much to tell. But leave it to James Corden to bring up both the “How did you lose your virginity?” and “How did you learn about sex?” angles. After telling a tale about rug burn, Sudeikis noted that his father gave him the sex talk after being inspired by an unexpected source.
We [had the talk] on the drive to school, my sophomore year. I was already sexually active, but he had just watched Boyz N the Hood. And Laurence Fishburne’s character gives Cuba Gooding, Jr. the talk, and my dad started off “Hey, Jas. I was watching Boyz N the Hood last night […] I want you know I have protection in my closet,” and the whole time in my head, I’m like, “You used to.”
Who would have thought that Furious Styles could inspire parents to actually have have the talk with their children? In any case, it was likely a bit less awkward than Chris Bosh’s father trying to use drawings. That did not sound like a good conversation.
