The Walking Dead doesn’t come back on TV for a couple more weeks so of course creator Robert Kirkman is torturing fans by adding even more mystery to show. The latest news to come from the set of the hit AMC series involves a new cast member, a mystery role and Chris Rock. Tyler James Williams, the kid who played the famous comedian in the sitcom Everybody Hates Chris and who starred in the Matthew Perry comedy Go On, has landed a new role on the zombie show. Williams will play Noah but any other details regarding his character is being kept under wraps.
The young star will join a few new faces when Season 5 returns in October including Andrew J. West, Alanna Masterson and Christian Serratos who were all promoted to series regulars after their respective roles as Gareth, Tara and Rosita in the last half of Season 4. The Spoiling Dead Fans — a Facebook page dedicated to bringing the latest news on all things undead — first spotted Williams on the Atlanta set back in August, so this latest casting confirmation might not be shocking to some diehard fans. And while it hasn’t been confirmed whether Williams will have a recurring role or just a guest spot when the show returns, with the promised body count for Season 5, we’re pretty sure he won’t last too long.
