Chris Cuomo, Don Lemon and several other members of a CNN crew were reporting live from the Ferguson protests when they were hit with canisters of tear gas. Cuomo attempted to finish the segment but ultimately left the scene after he was overwhelmed by smoke.
Crowds continue to gather in the city following the grand jury’s decision to not indict officer Darren Wilson in the death of Michael Brown.
UPDATE: According to the St. Louis County Police Department, they did not deploy tear gas against protestors and used smoke instead. Reports still vary and CNN is still reporting it as both smoke and tear gas.
