Calls like these are always tough for the referees. It looks like J.R. Smith went right at Draymond Green with unnecessary roughness, and that’s certainly what the refs decided when they called it a flagrant one foul.
But maybe there’s more to the story. Maybe J.R. Smith had momentary amnesia and thought he was playing football, where it’s totally cool to run into a dude leading with your shoulder. Or maybe it’s just J.R. being J.R.
