The trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained was supposed to premiere on Entertainment Tonight at 7:30 ET tonight, but once again I’ve got it prematurely. Ha, classic me. Anyway, Jamie Foxx. Christoph Waltz. Leonardo DiCaprio. Don Johnson. In a Tarantino movie. What else do you need to know?

(*pulls up to curb in flame-covered Chevy Avalanche with truck nutz dangling from the hitch*) (*opens door*) (*takes puff from diamond-encrusted inhaler*) Come with me if you want to see the trailer! (*slams door, screeches away, yells out window*)

With the help of his mentor, a slave-turned-bounty hunter sets out to rescue his wife from a brutal Mississippi plantation owner. Opens December 25th.

Though I’m guessing you knew that already. You guys seem like a real “with it” bunch. It looks awesome, but I don’t know. I feel like “The Payback” is a little too on-the-nose as a musical choice. I hate it when they choose a soundtrack song because it has a cutesy thematic connection to the plot. Go ahead and leave that for the end of This American Life episodes when Ira Glass gets to work in his one joke per episode. Though I guess we should be glad that James Brown didn’t have a song called “You Kidnapped My Wife and Now I’m Going to Kill You (Slave-Turned-Bounty-Hunter’s Revenge)”.
