A couple videos made by Portal fans fell into our laps this morning while we were fashioning non-canonical short film that envisions what might have happened if Chell escaped Aperture Science Laboratories before the making of Portal 2, which is why she doesn’t have Long Fall Boots. As Feuer explains, the leg attachments from Portal 1 fell off in the “Portal 2: Rat Lab” comic, and this film takes place before the advent of the Long Fall Boots. This is the nerdiest thing I’ll type today, and I haven’t even gotten to the cosplay video yet.
The second video is a Portal-themed cosplay stage performance filmed at the FanimeCon 2011 Masquerade in California last weekend. They received the “Most Dramatic” award for this. The Fact Sphere told me it also won the allegiance of the Fact Sphere. The Fact Sphere also told me the first person to prove that cow’s milk is drinkable was very, very thirsty. Good to know.
