Look, I realize that the banner picture there kinda’ looks like a hate crime in progress, but I can assure you that it’s not. No, it’s actually just a video from Youtube director, Sam Macaroni (Youtube channel here), of a bunch of people dressed up as stereotypical Mexican gangsters, battling in the dirty streets of Los Angeles with lightsabers. Wait, did i just say lightsabers? Why yes, yes I did.
Not for nothing, the effects here are all very well done, but is anyone else getting just a little tired of all these Star Wars-related fight videos out there? I mean, I’m glad that kids are illegally downloading Adobe After Effects, but come on: you should take some responsibility and be using that technology to render some extremely disturbing and offensive images, not lightsaber battles. And while I’m on a roll here, can someone get me James Cameron on the line? I have a few suggestions for those next Avatar flicks. Call that D-bag’s cell.
