Twelve Minutes From 'Lockout' Is Like Snake Plissken In Space

Europa has released several clips from Lockout, starring Guy Pearce as basically Snake Plissken on a mission to clear his name by saving the president’s daughter (Maggie Grace) from a maximum security prison iiiiiin spaaaaaaace. Producer Luc Besson co-wrote the script with directors James Mather and Stephen St. Leger. On the one hand, it seems pretty ridiculous with its a-hole physics and equally a-hole-ish one-liners from multiple cast members. On the other hand, one of the guys delivering snarky one-liners is Guy Pearce, so it can’t be all bad, we’d hope. You can judge for yourself from the videos below.
The first clip is the opening four and a half minutes from the film. The second clip is the footage aired at WonderCon last month. Consider it a potential spoiler with some lousy physics in the zero-G fight scene as well as something that will make you slap a hand over your eye and yell, “Noooooo”. The last two videos below are short clips. Hey, that’s Rudy from Misfits mischievously pressing the big red button. Was Mackenzie Crook busy?
