Awww, baby Colossus. And if you’re wondering how he’s metal before puberty, the site explains: “The Chernobyl nuclear power plant melts down, causing a spike in premature mutant expressions for generations.” (1986)
Wolverine (bottom center) had a problem with the Berlin Wall. “A few renegade mutants knock down a mile-long section of the Berlin wall in an act of protest, killing 23 people and injuring over 200. The protest alarmed citizens of West Germany, sparking anti-mutant policies. The Berlin Wall stands today and East Germany has been designated as a mutant zone.” (1988)
Storm (bottom center) has better luck in South Africa. “South Africa proudly declares their country a unified and united refuge for all.” (1991)
Warring mutant factions destroy the Golden Gate Bridge, and let us never speak of The Last Stand again. (2006)
“After a string of breakouts from Camp X-Ray by high-powered mutants, Trask Industries develops a collar to inhibit mutant abilities.” (2009)
Sentinel Mark X (2013)
There will be spoilers underneath this photo.
The 25 Moments website also spoiled two of the character’s deaths, in addition to one we already knew about. They say Warren Worthington III (Angel) is killed at Occupy Wall Street in 2011. They also say that in 2015 — and this is a huge spoiler — “Hank McCoy is dragged from his home and murdered by an angry mob of Human Majority protesters outside his home in upstate New York.”
It ain’t easy being blue.
