Seventh Son is a movie that’s been a long time in coming; it’s had its release date changed four different times, and it hasn’t really been clear why. Well, now we have a trailer and, well… yeah, now we know. This is a movie that hypes up the fact it’s produced by Legendary Pictures, to give it any sort of shred of credibility.
The basic idea is that Jeff Bridges plays a mentor to some kid, teaching him to kill monsters while sporting a ridiculous accent, and together they kill Julianne Moore, who clearly did this because the paycheck was too good to turn down. Fun fact: Between Bridges, Julianne Moore and Djimon Hounsou, the cast of this movie has been nominated for twelve Oscars. Somehow we doubt those three will be on the promotional tour.
But, if nothing else, it at least looks like it’ll be fun to watch drunk, while you try to figure out what Jeff Bridges is saying. So it’s got that going for it.
