Mark Wahlberg Confirms He’s Still In For ‘Transformers 5’

*fart noise*

Transformers: Age of Extinction grossed more than $1.1 billion globally (most of it from overseas), raising the franchise total gross above $3.7 billion and ensuring more movies. Mark Wahlberg even teased (threatened?) the possibility of Michael Bay returning to direct Transformers 5 despite rumors that he might be taking a break from hitting his actors with a broom. One thing we weren’t sure about was if Mark Wahlberg would return, although he seemed to be interested in reprising his role of Cade Yeager, an inventor from Texas (just gonna let that sink in for a second… and we’re back.)

Get ready to celebrate with an oil sandwich and say hi to your mother for me, because Mark Wahlberg has confirmed he’s still making Transformers 5. Wahlberg confirmed he’s still signed on for the next sequel at the end of this interview with CinePOP on the red carpet for Daddy’s Home in New York City.

Despite the delayed production, we shouldn’t be surprised. Wahlberg was signed for a trilogy which he has said is “probably the most iconic franchise in movie history.” *clears throat, shuffles papers* Okay then. So… you guys seeing any movies this weekend?
