Check Out The Awesome Collection Of Rare Star Wars Toys That Brought In More Than $500,000 At Auction

Do you have some rare Star Wars collectibles you’ve been sitting on for years (or decades)? Well, with Star Wars: The Force Awakens mania at a fever pitch, now’s the time to cash that junk in. Recently, Japanese fashion designer and Star Wars collector NIGO (real name Tomoaki Nagao) put a chunk of his collection up for sale at Sotheby’s New York and walked away with a cool $505,200. Not bad for a bunch of stuff most guys’ mothers would be all-too-eager to toss away.

The most valuable item, a multipack of seven The Empire Strikes Back figures which was sold exclusively by Sears of Canada, went for $32,500. Other expensive obscurities included a “Power of the Force” coin set, which went for $27,500, a rare Luke Skywalker figure with a double-sided lightsaber, which went for $25,000 and a Yak Face figure that somebody paid $7,250 for. Yes, that’s right, there’s an official Star Wars character named Yak Face, and if you had bought the guy’s action figure back in 1983, you could be putting a down-payment on a new car right now.

If you want to check out everything that sold in the auction (there’s way more than we can list here), you can check out the Sotheby’s auction page, right here.

Anything on that list you would have bought if you had unlimited funds to waste on Star Wars toys? I’ll admit, that Jawa plushie is pretty adorable.
