No, not the country, the commenter. Never let it be said I don’t do what Gamma Squad’s readers ask of me.
I’ve been avoiding the remake of Beauty and the Beast for several reasons, not the least of which is the fact that the entire concept seems pretty stupid. In the original series, the Beast was a gentle soul living in a renaissance fair underneath New York City. In the reboot, he’s a handsome doctor who was subjected to military experiments that made him the Hulk, except not as cool.
Not helping matters were the previews, which make the show look melodramatic and silly. Then again, the previews for Arrow made it look like a trainwreck, and while it’s not perfect, it is a solid show that I’ve been enjoying and snarking in equal measure.
So, per request, I will tune in tonight and watch Beauty and The Best.
Really, how bad could it be?
