Want To Be Batman? The Cost Might Make You Put Away That Cape

Much like Iron Man, Batman needs a heck of a lot of money to really put the “super” in superhero. Sure, Bruce Wayne has exceptional fighting skills, an intelligent and creative mind, and a personal tragedy that drives him, but it’s that fat bank account that gives him the upper-hand in the crime-fighting department. It’s the main reason why there’s any fair contest in a movie called Batman V. Superman — Superman has the abilities, and Batman has the gadgets (plus a UFC-inspired fighting style).

But how much does it really cost to be Batman? What’s the dollar amount that separates the Caped Crusader in the movies from the Caped Crusader in Times Square that really wants you to take a picture with him? Here are some of the IRL prices estimated by comic movie geeks, just in case you have very dead, very rich parents and an axe to grind with your crime-infested city.

There are some things money can’t buy. For everything else we need to be Batman, frankly, we’ll stick with trying to be Spider-Man. Working multiple jobs? Closet-sized apartment? Now there’s a superhero we can relate to.
