Iron Fist hasn’t seen an easy ride on its way to Netflix, but the show is getting ready to bring Danny Rand and his unique brand of fighting to streaming. And that means finding a bad guy, notably Steel Serpent. And a Bollywood actor may have just revealed he got the job.
Sameer Ali Khan recently noted on Instagram he’s going to have to shave his beloved beard to be in Iron Fist, and it sounds like he’s got a major role. Considering the job of Steel Serpent is still open, it’s been speculated he’ll be Danny Rand’s foe, unless there’s yet another role we haven’t heard about yet, certainly possible considering the secrecy Marvel’s Netflix shows keep themselves wrapped in.
Khan is an Afghani actor probably best known to Bollywood fans, as his only major American role so far has been in the Bill Murray movie Rock the Casbah. But he does have some superhero experience, having played a character shamelessly called Ant Man in the Krrish franchise, which is Bollywood’s answer to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and he’s a martial artist and fight coordinator. He’s also got the moves to make Danny’s life miserable. We’ll likely find out just how next year.
