The First Trailer For ‘Iron Man 3’ Is Here!

Just a day after we over-analyzed some Iron Man 3 screencaps, the first trailer for Iron Man 3 has finally arrived. Pardon me while I run in a circle screaming, “My whole brain is crying!” Or maybe I’m just delirious because it’s two in the damn morning and I’m up waiting for a trailer to drop. Worth it.

Below the trailer we also have a batch of stills and the first poster. Here we get another look at the Iron Patriot armor, a lot more Pepper Potts, and some insight from Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, who tells USA Today that Tony Stark’s newest suit is even more convenient yet troublesome than earlier incarnations: “Now we see he’s invented a technology that allows him to basically have the suit arrive to him anywhere at any time, piece by piece, and it doesn’t always work at first.”

Feige also drops a mild spoiler about what’s happening in some of the pictures of destruction below:

“While he is a charming guy, it is often hard to root for a genius billionaire playboy philanthropist because they seem to have it all,” Feige says. “In this movie, we are again going to see him stripped down more than we’ve ever seen him since he was in that cave, again with his back against the wall and with nothing but his wits to help him survive.”

His wits and billions of dollars. And a Hulk.

Iron Man 3 opens May 3rd, 2013, even though the trailer below says “April 2013” just to mock us.

As commenter Martin pointed out yesterday, this suit has “Lt. Col. James Rhodes” printed on the left breastplate.

And here’s Gwyneth Paltrow performing Hamlet between scenes.

Is this from a sequel to Sexy Beast?
