‘Pokemon Sun & Moon’ Will Feature New Versions Of Some Of Your Favorite Classic Pokemon

Pokemon Sun and Moon, the latest core RPG in the mega-popular series, won’t feature quite as many new creatures as we’ve got from past entries in the series. Considering there’s now over 700 Pokemon, it’s understandable that the Poke masterminds at Game Freak are finally slowing down, but some fans may be a tad disappointed.

Well, to make up for there being fewer all-new creatures, Pokemon Sun and Moon will introduce new takes on some of the classic Pokemon you know and love. You can see a few of them in the jam-packed new Sun and Moon trailer above. In addition to the new “Aloha Forms,” the trailer also features a few all-new Pokemon, information on how gyms will work in the game, and a look at devastating new “Z-moves.” It’s definitely worth checking out.

The new versions of classic Pokemon include icy takes on Ninetales and Vuplix…

Cold, steely versions of Sandshrew and Sandslash…

…and this wacky, extra tall Exeggutor.

I have a feeling this is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to new versions of classic Pokemon. What else could we see? A fire spitting Squirtle? A non-creepy version of Mr. Mime? Sky’s the limit!

Pokemon Sun and Moon arrives to devour your life on November 18.
