Robert Downey Jr.’s ‘Civil War’ Co-Stars Are Super Jealous Of His ‘Village’ Of Trailers

The main conflict in Captain America: Civil War may be centered around Captain America and Iron Man squaring off over the rights of superheroes to operate without government oversight (and how that could affect the status of Cap’s best bud Bucky Barnes), but from the sounds of a recent press junket there was some strife off screen during filming as well.

At a recent press where many of the Avengers were assembled to discuss the upcoming release of Civil War, the subject of Robert Downey Jr.’s trailers came up. Apparently and while most of his cast mates were stuck with one set trailer when they weren’t filming scenes, the Iron Man actor had five. Yes that’s right, five whole trailers. The cast ribs him about the excess trailers, all in good fun it seems, but there’s definitely some underlying jealousy about the “trailer village.”

Below, you’ll find some of the best quotes and jokes from the chat. RDJ should either send everyone a fruit basket or make sure Marvel doubles their trailer orders for the next installment of the franchise.

“He has like 5 of them! I gotta fit those thighs and quads somewhere man.” – Anthony Mackie (AKA Falcon)

“Robert actually has the smallest trailer. He just has…like…another four around it.” (Paul Bettany AKA Vision)

“I was eating a burrito in my humble trailer…and a knock came at the door with a message that I was ‘cordially invited’ to Robert Downey Jr.’s village” – Daniel Bruhl (AKA Baron Zemo)

And of course, here’s a confirmation from Downey himself that his trailer problem may be getting out of hand. He includes a shout out to the Editor of Vanity Fair, Graydon Carter.

“The state of Georgia wanted to give it it’s own zip code” “I’m the Graydon Carter of the MCU”

As if his own cast mates’ ribbing him due to his trailer privilege wasn’t enough, it looks like Downey’s own son has betrayed him as well. As Downey reveals in the below video, his 4-year old son Exton has now gone full Captain America in his clothing preferences and rooting interests. Ouch, not even Iron Man’s own family is rooting for him in the Civil War face-off. That’s gotta be rough.
