Judy Greer, T.I. and John Slattery join ‘Ant-Man’ as Marvel film begins production

“Ant-Man” is finally going before the cameras – and a slew of new cast members have joined the fray.

Marvel's forthcoming Phase 3 superhero film began production in San Francisco on Monday, with Judy Greer, rapper/actor T.I., John Slattery, Wood Harris, Gregg Turkington and Abby Ryder Forstson announced as the latest additions to a star-studded cast that already includes Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly and Corey Stoll.

Directed by Peyton Reed (who came onto the project after original helmer Edgar Wright's much-publicized departure) from a script by Wright and Joe Cornish (and revisions by Adam McKay, Gabriel Ferrari and Andrew Barrer), “Ant-Man” is based on the Marvel superhero of the same name whose powers include the ability to shrink in size and gain in strength. It's slated for release on July 17, 2015.
