Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill face ‘Mexican Wolverine’ in new ’22 Jump Street’ trailer

If the hilarious red band trailer for “22 Jump Street” had too many curse words for your taste, take a bite out of the just-released green band preview, which includes new footage of Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill returning to the undercover life.

2012’s “21 Jump Street” earned an impressive $138 million domestically, so a sequel seemed inevitable. The new film finds the boys enrolling in college in order to smash a fraternity drug ring.

The new trailer is not only cleaned up for family viewing (although there are still plenty of guns and a handful of utterances of such naughty words as “ass” and “bitch”), but includes an “alternate ending,” in which Tatum and Hill attempt to infiltrate a gang which includes a guy who bears more than a passing resemblance to a certain clawed mutant superhero.

“22 Jump Street” also stars Ice Cube, Rob Riggle, Nick Offerman and Dave Franco. Phil Lord and Chris Miller — hot off their success with “The Lego Movie” — once again directed.

“22 Jump Street” opens June 13.
