John Oliver takes advantage of HBO’s profanity rules to address Paris attacks

John Oliver addressed the horrific attacks on Paris on his show last night, offering up a slightly different take than the “many necessary and appropriate moments of silence” with “a moment of premium cable profanity.”

With still very much unknown about the attacks, which killed at least 132 people and injured hundreds more, Oliver was still able to say with certainty that they were done by “gigantic f**king a**holes” to serve “an ideology of pure a**holery.”

“Nothing about what these a**holes are trying to do is going to work,” Oliver said. “France is going to endure.”
