On last night's “The Daily Show,” Jon Stewart announced that his last episode as host will be on August 6, and promised – at least until the audience seemed to object – that “I will be wearing a suit. I will more than likely be showered.”
In addition, to raise money for autism charities, Stewart is conducting a contest for seats to his final taping.
Still no word on when Trevor Noah will take over, though right after Labor Day would seem to make sense, given the timing of Stewart's exit. Here's the full announcement from the end of last night's show:
