Game of Thrones isn't the only show returning to HBO on April 24. Veep (and Silicon Valley) will also premiere that night, and if the trailer for Julia Louis-Dreyfus show is anything to go by, its fifth season won't miss a beat despite creator and showrunner Armando Iannucci's departure.
Louis-Dreyfus's Selina Meyer is doing everything she can to win the election, which, as we left the show at the end of Season 4, is tied. So she's still trying to win this thing by praising Olympic kayakers on their gold (oops, bronze) medal while dealing with Chinese hackers and a plummeting stock market.
Sounds rough, but she also gets to hook up with Mad Men's John Slattery at some point, so that's not so bad, right?
