The X-Men occupy a weird space in superhero cinema. Technically part of the Marvel brand, they nonetheless have their own universe due to trademark issues. Perhaps one day Fox and Disney will arrange a shared custody agreement like Sony has with Spider-Man, but until then? Wolverine and Iron Man”s paths will never cross. Originally the plan was for the X-Men and the Fantastic Four to meet up, but that dream was dead on arrival. Now Deadpool will mend the franchise with snark and blood. Colossus is already appearing in Deadpool, but could this sword fight between Olivia Munn and Ryan Reynolds hint that Deadpool is headed for the Apocalypse?

Neither Munn nor Reynolds are in costume in the above video, but Munn is wearing the same outfit in another shot promoting the upcoming X-Men film. Depending on when this video was taken – the “Instant” part of Instagram is relative when it comes to celebrities – it could be a bit of fun…or it could be a cameo hint. Only time will tell.
