Watch: The thrilling chase and horrifying revelations of ‘Spotlight’

“Spotlight” chronicles the true story of how the Boston Globe uncovered the massive scandal of child molestation and cover-up within the local Catholic Archdiocese, a revelation that shook the entire Catholic Church to its core. It's a journalistic caper in the style of “All the President's Men,” but its incredible story, unadorned performances, and taut dialogue make it a deeply resonant film (and perhaps the first great “period piece” of the early 2000s).

In this exclusive TV spot, watch as Boston Globe reporters Michael Rezendes (Mark Ruffalo), Walter “Robby” Robinson (Michael Keaton, going for his second Best Picture performance in two years), Sacha Pfeiffer (Rachel McAdams), and editor Marty Baron (Liev Schreiber) start piecing together the exposé that will eventually lead to similar, revelatory investigations in cities all over the world.

“Spotlight” is in theaters November 6.
