Watch Michael J. Fox And Christopher Lloyd Back Together For ‘Back To The Future’ Day

We’ve seen the teases leading to this point, but thanks to Toyota’s desire to show their future tech, we’re getting a true Back To The Future reunion to look at the real future. It turns out you might actually be able to power your car using trash very soon — much sooner than you’ll be able to see Jaws 19, buy a hoverboard, or see the Cubs win the World Series (possibly). Better yet, Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd are there to introduce it to the world with all the Back To The Future quotes and references you could ever hope for.

Not only do we get to see Marty’s prized Toyota truck from the series, but most of the sites from the original movie make an appearance. The fabled clocktower, Hill Valley High, and even Marty’s house from the film (complete with actors inside discussing some humorous trash collection). It’s a wonderful way to get back into the spirit of the film and see the old duo back together again. It’d be something to see a new Back To The Future film with this older Doc and Marty. Maybe time travel becomes monetized somehow and they’re called back to discover a solution to whatever terrible thing has happened to the space-time continuum.

Cast Josh Gad as the guy who screws up recorded history with his time travel antics and it’s going to be surefire hit. You could even use this new Toyota car and create some cross-branding (after all, the series was known for that). It could work and they don’t look too bad either:
